Sunday, June 29, 7pm
The Barrow Mansion – 83 Wayne St., downtown Jersey City
The music of Beecher, Bittova, Burhans, Clarke, Steinke and Tompson

Con Vivo Music wraps up our June mini-festival this Sunday with Solo Duo Trio: a concert of music by Caroline Shaw, winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Composition, Con Vivo’s 2011 and 2013 Composition Competition Winners Lembit Beecher and Greg Steinke, Caleb Burhans, Iva Bittova, Randall Tompson and Rebecca Clarke. Con Vivo’s founding director, violist Amelia Hollander Ames, will return from Boston to play with friends Karisa Werdon on oboe and Nicholas Gallas on clarinet.

The music on this program is variously theatrical, liturgical, romantic, contemplative, folksy, and insistent. The venue is the Barrow Mansion, a “Grande Dame” of local architecture, and a focal point for performing arts and community activism in Jersey City. As always, admission is free and open to all. We will have our fresh-off-the-presses CD “Modern Dances” available for a $10 donation.
