Bach rocked!

We had a blast performing our Bach concert last weekend at Cathedral Hall. Thanks to our incredible performers Sarah Nelson-Craft (mezzo-soprano), Christa Robinson (oboe), Garry Ianco (violin), Lisa Casal-Galietta (violin), Yumi Oshima (viola), Carolyn Jeselsohn (cello), Sean Price (harpsichord), and Kevin Cummines (organ). And of course, THANK YOU for being our fantastic audience!

What’s Next for CVM?

We’re nailing down details for two more concerts this year, so mark your calendars!

September 8 @ 7:30pm – JC Fridays: Art Politic
CVM presents music written to make a statement. Our program is built around Frederic Rzewski’s minimalist beat-driven “Coming Together”, which was written in response to the 1971 Attica Prison Riot. We will also premiere Kevin Clark’s “Census Americans”, which pairs protest songs with text from Census Americans, a twitter bot that briefly describes real Americans based on US census data.

October 6 @ 7pm – CVM String Quartet
Con Vivo’s in house string quartet returns with a concert of incredible music by living composers: Jessie Montgomery, Sarah Kirkland Snider, Julia Wolfe, and more.
