Call for Scores
for String Quartet
Guidelines:
1. Entries must be scored for traditional string quartet instrumentation: 2 violins, viola and cello.
2. The entered work should be no longer than 25 minutes.
3. Please do not send original manuscripts. Include a SASE if return of materials is desired.
4. Scores should carry a pseudonym, and should not contain any identifying markings. Recordings, midi or live, are strongly encouraged. Include a C.V. and a completed entry identification form, both sealed inside an envelope labeled with the name of the piece and the pseudonym under which the score has been submitted.
5. The application fee for the competition is $25.00 for one work, $15.00 per additional work, payable by check to Con Vivo.
For international applicants: Unfortunately we cannot link to Paypal on this site. We can, however, accept online payments. If you would like to pay the fee via Paypal, please write to mail_convivomusic.org, and we will email you an invoice.
6. Deadline for submission (receipt, not postmark!) is March 30th, 2009. Decision will be announced on or before April 15th, 2009.
